Description
Reception and shop at Château de Goutelas
Château de Goutelas welcomes visitors all year round to explore its courtyards and outdoor spaces.
The reception and shop are open on weekdays during office hours, by appointment, and occasionally during cultural events organised by the Cultural Centre.
The indoor spaces are reserved for groups (seminars, stays, etc.) and for cultural projects programmed at the château.
A shop showcasing the artisans and craftsmanship of the Forez region
Located in the heart of the château, the shop offers a range of local products:
- jams made at the château;
- honey, oils, lentils, mustards, etc.;
- wines from the Forez vineyards and craft beers;
- books, posters, postcards, etc.
All products are carefully selected from artisans in the Forez region.
The main courtyard, terraces and panoramic view
The castle grounds are freely accessible: enjoy a stroll in the park, a break at the picnic tables or in the deckchairs provided when the weather permits.
From June to September, the food truck offers light Forez-style meals, ideal for an outdoor break.
Walks and contemporary outdoor artworks
From the château, you can follow the Bélizar trail, a bucolic walk in the footsteps of Astrée and Céladon, offering panoramic views of the Forez region and the Forez vineyards.
The site also houses contemporary artworks that are freely accessible all year round:
- a sculpture-belvedere by Vincent Mauger, offering a new perspective on the château and the landscape;
- an outdoor sculpture-stage by the UV Lab collective, which hosts performances during the summer.
Guided tours
Themed tours of the château are offered as part of the cultural programme. Tours can also be organised for groups on request.
